Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Our numbers were many, tools were few but our hearts were willing! 25 hearts to be precise. We'd been lucky with the weather and it was not only dry but unseasonably warm as well. The run was short and swift, and we soon met with our contact at the Patchwork Project. This was the third time we'd returned to this particular patch of the patchwork, and each time we can see it slowly evolving from a weed infested pile of stones into what will one day be a really sweet little garden. It's going to take time, and has already taken a lot of sweat and effort, but it's getting there...
Early spring. That's when the fruits of Tuesday nights labor will become apparent. It seems like a long time away, but fear not, brave Good Gym girls and boys - many bulbs were planted. Many weeds were...er...weeded! Kilometers were run and planks were...er... planked? And what can we say about the almost West Side Story style face off with our pals at the Southville running club at Gaol Ferry Bridge? I half expected some finger clicking and Bernstein-style music to erupt! (just remember that we must share the pavements, so let's try and keep to the left of those lanky lot, and hopefully they'll keep to the left of us too!)
Team, terrific work! Some fantastic extended punning from some of the new guys - we'll need you back for more pun-tastic suggestions, I'm sure! See you all again soon for more Good.
