Volunteering *and Pacing* at Hilly Fields Parkrun!
Parkruns are 100% volunteer operated and always looking for helpful people (GoodGym people!) to fill volunteer roles every weekend.

08:40 - 10:10Lots of us lovely GoodGymmers already participate in parkrun, which is a great way to enjoy a run, jog or walk and to spend time with your local community.
Hilly Fields adults parkrun starts at 9am each Saturday and we would be delighted to have you get in touch to volunteer.
Sign up on this GoodGym page for your GG good deed, and be sure to email hillyfields@parkrun.com to let them know you’d like to help, and if you’d like a specific role or would be happy to fit in wherever needed. You can check the roster for the coming few weeks if you’d like to try a particular role.
The first Saturday of the month at Hilly Fields is also when we have pacers, in times ranging from a speedy 17 minutes to a relaxed 45. Take your pick and come along!
All roles are easy to learn and the run director and other volunteers will be happy to show you the ropes before the start. Roles include:
- Marshalling - Cheer people on and keep everyone safe and happy!
- Timers - Boop your phone’s parkrun volunteer app as each finisher crosses the line (timers work in pairs so the pressure is off!)
- Handing out finish tokens - to relieved and happy finishers!
- Token Scanners - boop finishers’ tokens to record their times!
- Tail Walkers - bring up the rear and enjoy a walk around the park!
- Park Walkers - it’s not all about the runners!
- Pacers - from speedy to relaxed, Hilly Fields has pacers on the first Saturday of each month!
