Report written by Southwark runner
The red and black t-shirts may have been hidden under layers of jumpers and ski jackets, but Goodgymers from all over London were out in force at Dulwich parkrun this morning for a parkrun takeover.
We filled almost all the volunteer roles, allowing the volunteering regulars to stretch their legs in the rain! In addition we had pacers at 21, 22, 26, 28, 30 and 32 minutes to help the people of Dulwich achieve their PBs. Thanks to Ian, Andy, Dom, Lauren, Isabel, Neil and particularly Sophie (15 months) who was a key member of the pacing crew.
Special shoutouts to Martin and Phoebe for coming along to their first GoodGym run - we hope to see you again soon! And thanks to Lauren and Andy for filling in pacer roles last minute and doing an excellent job for their first time.
Fact of the Day: Queen Mary was a frequent visitor to Dulwich Park and much admired the rhododendrons.
After successfully running, directing, scanning & cheering 520 through the finish funnel, we had a celebratory group photo, then some of us made it to the park cafe for a warming drink to finish the morning.
