it seems like summer might have finally arrived!! The sun was shining, it was warm and it was the perfect opportunity for four friends to get together and do a bit of community work for the fantastic charity Wishing Well

Karen, Nigel, Maurice and Nicola started the evening with a brisk circular walk down towards the cemetery and in a loop back via some bits of town that none of us had ever seen before! How long have we lived here?!

It was a good opportunity for us to catch up with each other and chat about various topics including parkrun (of course!), the football, work, holidays… to name a few.

Back at the centre, we each set to work on different tasks and got stuck in. We looked at what needed doing and worked accordingly. Maurice mowed the lawn, Nigel and Karen weeded and dug over one of the raised beds and Nicola did a litter pick around the outside of the building. it was a productive evening rounded off perfectly with a very refreshing pint (or Diet Coke) at Hops bar with another opportunity to for more chat and arranging our forthcoming Goodgym social ❤

It was a lovely evening, spent with lovely people and enjoying some lovely weather (for once! ☀️).

Well done! You're all amazing ❤

Have a great week. Lots of love.
