Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

Share the love

Tonight we ran up to Whittington Park for part three of our mission to sand the gigantic pile of chairs. A warm welcome to first-timers Esther, Gina and Debbie.

We were met as usual by Paul who had unfortunately done his back in by working too hard. Although this didn't stop him climbing up on a counter to take the group photo at the end of the evening. Thanks, Paul.

Tonight was DOUBLE BISCUIT week, which meant in addition to nomming on both milk AND dark chocolate biscuits during our activity, the debate was biscuit-related. A simple question: what is the best biscuit and why? See results at the bottom of this report.

And on this glorious biscuit-themed evening there was a prize up for grabs: whichever pair of GoodGymmers did the best sanding job would be victorious. We all got stuck in and 25 minutes, although everybody did a splendid job, Harry and Billy emerged as the winners. They were awarded a golden biscuit each (see photo), which was apparently edible. Let us know how that worked out.

We zipped outside for a quick game of Dishes and Domes (you have to come to GG Islington to find out what that is. You definitely won't find out by Googling) Domes won, but they also cheated. Surprising how a bunch of such friendly folk - more than willing to do good in the community week in and week out - turn into savages once a competitive element in introduced. We love it!

Steve led some speedsters off for a lap of Emirates while the rest of us carried on discussing biscuits and injuries on the way back.

Then back at Highbury Pool we stretched our aching shoulders and decided to call it a night before Nicki got arrested for stalking.

Great job as always. See you next week, all. Register here
